This Cancellation & Refunds policy applies to seat reservations on the TransRapid service, operated by TransGreen Ventures Limited. TransRapid operates under a contract carriage framework. The service is currently pre-operative; the figures, windows, and tiers below are indicative drafts and the final policy will apply from launch.
Scope
This policy applies to seat reservations made for TransRapid journeys once the service begins operating. It does not apply to the pre-launch waitlist or to expressions of interest, which involve no payment. Where any reservation-specific terms are shown at the time you confirm your journey, those terms will prevail.
Advance reservations
You may reserve a seat in advance for a chosen route, date, and departure. A reservation is confirmed only once payment is received and we issue a confirmation. Reserving a seat in advance helps us plan capacity and assures you a place on your chosen journey.
Cancellation windows & refunds
The following tiers are indicative only and provided as a draft. Final cancellation windows and refund amounts will be confirmed at launch:
- More than 24 hours before departure: indicatively a full or near-full refund, less any applicable processing charge.
- Between 24 and 4 hours before departure: indicatively a partial refund (for example, around 50%).
- Less than 4 hours before departure: indicatively no refund, or a nominal refund only.
These tiers are placeholders to illustrate how the policy is expected to work and should not be relied upon until finalised.
How refunds are processed
Where a refund is due, it will be processed to your original payment method. Refunds are typically initiated within a few business days of an eligible cancellation; the time for funds to reach you depends on your bank or payment provider. Any non-refundable processing charges will be clearly indicated at the time of cancellation.
No-shows
If you do not cancel and do not board your reserved journey (a "no-show"), the reservation is treated as used and is generally non-refundable, unless stated otherwise in the final policy.
Service changes or cancellations by TransRapid
Occasionally, we may need to reschedule or cancel a journey — for example, due to operational, safety, weather, or regulatory reasons. In such cases, we will aim to offer you a suitable alternative journey or a refund of the amount paid for the affected reservation. Our liability in these situations is limited to the amount paid for that reservation.
